This is a weight training workout for women over 40. In 20 minutes you’ll work the full body using dumbbell weights.

My name is Cheryl and I’m your certified Personal Fitness Trainer for this over 40 online workout program. I’ll guide you through each strength training exercise helping you grow strong and build muscle while working out at home.

Below is a list of today’s strength building exercises and the weights I use for your reference. Roll out your home workout mat and have your dumbbells ready because we’re doing trisets – three exercises back-to-back.

Warm Up

Triset ONE
1. Goblet squat, 40lbs (my dumbbell weight for reference only)
2. Neutral grip row, 2 x 20lbs
3. Y raise, 7.5lbs
15 reps each, back to back
Rest then repeat once

Triset TWO
1. Decline chest press, 2 x 20lbs
2. Hammer curl, 2 x 15lbs
3. Single arm overhead tri ext, 15lbs
15 reps each, back to back
Rest then repeat once

Cool down stretch
